Supporting local environmental projects across Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man.

In line with our environmental commitments and to foster positive energy within our island communities, we provide funding and support for local charities, initiatives, or projects that contribute to the betterment of the environment and the community.

We accept applications twice a year, with a maximum funding limit of £5,000 per application. These applications are then reviewed by our Sustainability Group and the successful applicants will be chosen by our expert team.

Who we are and our commitment

Islands Energy Group (IEG) is the owner and operator of gas distribution networks across the Isle of Man (Isle of Man Energy), Guernsey (Guernsey Energy) and Jersey (Island Energy). In addition to this, we are actively pursuing commercial opportunities to expand our reach beyond regulation. Our responsibility includes providing heating services to over 35,000 homes and businesses across the three islands, a privilege we deeply value.

Our commitment lies in accelerating the three islands towards a common goal of achieving Net Zero status by 2050. To achieve this, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint as a business and transition towards decarbonizing the gas transported through our network. We recognize that our role in each island's community is crucial, and we cannot achieve our targets or help the islands reach their Net Zero aspirations without a coordinated approach that prioritises the needs of our customers, stakeholders, and employees. And we think that we can help achieve this through this initiative.
